Open Books Open Doors: Our 23rd Annual Gala

Everybody Wins DC’s Annual Gala is coming up and we hope you will be there! Wednesday, April 25th will be a spirited evening featuring a live auction and guest speaker Juan Felipe Herrera. Mr. Herrera is the 2015-2017 U.S. Poet Laureate, award-winning children’s book author, performance artist and activist on behalf of migrant and indigenous communities and at-risk youth.

Our program for the evening will celebrate our students, highlight the generous support of our sponsors, and honor our Reading Mentors—including the presentation of the prestigious Friedman Award, which recognizes a committed, long-time, extraordinary Reading Mentor. Our program will conclude with an exciting live auction featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences and spectacular vacation packages. Student alumni from our program will also be on hand to talk about what the program has meant to them and the impact that the program has had on their lives.

Individual tickets and sponsorships are available and can be purchased by following this link. For additional questions, please contact Holland Diz at  hdiz@everybodywinsdc.org.

See you at the Gala!
